"I parked my own car," Tony explained to Eva and Magneto at the entrance to Xavier's garage. "Are you aware your valet has a serious issue with depth perception?" Iron Man confessed his issues with Cyclops, completely unaware if Scott was within earshot. He leaned toward Zap and gave the electrokine a one-armed hug, because of progress, and because he did actually miss her. "I'm sorry to hear about Charles." Tony offered while he embraced Eva and allowed his eyes to connect with Erik's. "I already told Hank he's welcome to any Stark Tech he needs. Of course, maybe he just needed a nap." Tony joked, because comas were mood killers. Unfortunately, so was what Iron Man had come to discuss.
"No easy segue from a coma... Office?" Tony made clear with his eyes that this wasn't simply a social visit.
Once the trio entered Xavier's office, Iron Man strolled toward the desk. Tony removed a small electronic device from his jacket pocket and placed it on the surface of the desk. The device emitted a bright blue light and a brief high pitched tone. "Tell Jon I might owe him some surveillance equipment," Tony explained, then snapped his fingers. "Friday?" He spoke to the device, then it responded.
"Yes, boss?"
"We clear?" He asked the Irish-accented computer program.
"Clear, even the psionic shield." She answered, "Your paranoia knows no bounds."
"Alright, Friday. Rude." Tony bickered with the program he'd created, then turned his attention to the real people in the room. "So, I don't know who you guys started a flame war with..." Tony's hand waved over the desk and holographic images of Erik appeared in the air between them. "But somebody dimed you out." His eyes focused on Magneto through the images of Erik. "I used that expression because you're old and you remember when a payphone used to cost a dime. Or when there were payphones." His fingers waved again and Magneto's FBI wanted poster appeared. "Whatever Charles had done to erase you from history was undone, all in one encrypted message to the Pentagon."
"Naturally, they called me." Tony rested on the edge of the desk while he explained. "Wanted me to figure out a way to arrest you without too much trouble. Seems the optics of rolling tanks onto the lawn of a school is a bit too Waco for them. I, of course, refused... but I said I'd try to talk some sense into the lovely and talented acting-headmistress of the school." Tony said with a smirk. "I'll buy you some time. But you've got two problems. One, the army." Iron Man said dismissively, "but more importantly, who sent that transmission... which by the way, I couldn't trace." Which surprised even him. "I like this desk," he pointed toward the solid wood surface. "Was this carved from one tree?"
