The Russian could only grin at Shadowcat's requirement, "I make no promises." Mikhail Rasputin was not his younger brother, he could not be relied upon to be stable. However, that's why Kitty's arms were wrapped around him and not one of the safer choices in the room. "I am... full of surprises," Cosmo smirked when he echoed what someone rather kind had said about him in the past. "But I wouldn't want you if I did not know you could take it." Few people interested Mikhail, luckily for both of them, he'd found Katherine.
"No, no, no." He started then paused only when the kitty nibbled his ear. Again, Mikhail wondered what they were still doing at this party. One did not make a declaration of love to then be forced to pretend they cared about festivities. He no longer cared about Mr. Murphy's Halloween gathering. Mikhail's normally-wandering attention was laser-focused on Ms. Katherine Pryde, everything else was bullshit. But apparently, the party mattered to her... So it again mattered to him.
"You have it backward. Songs miss us. You will learn to see." Mikhail teased his wisdom, a philosophy Shadowcat would soon be well-versed it. Then Perry appeared with his crude jokes and harsh statements. Talent only got you so far, Mikhail thought through a pretty obvious eye roll. He placed his finger on his lips and shushed toward the sparkly suited man. Mikhail pointed his hat, which now laid next to Troy's feet. "Please." When he noticed Troy's eyes shifted away from the pair, Cosmo took that moment to vanish.
Still locked in their hug, Mikhail and Katherine appeared deeper within the party, and further away from Troy and his sister. "He was... harshing my vibe." He explained, semi-apologetically. "Shall we grace this song with our presence?"
The back of Illyana's hand made contact with the side of Troy's arm when she'd realized her brother had made a quick escape. "Grinding an old Russian?" What had he expected, a witty retort? "Your charm does not work on everyone." Magik tried to explain with her angry voice, but quickly abandoned the attempt to scold Hemlock. "Just shut up and dance with me." Her lips curved into something of a wicked smile, and her hands wrapped around Troy's arm. "I want to get very drunk and make bad decisions." She informed him, she'd missed out on too many Halloween parties and needed to make up for lost time. "Just be nice to Kitty, please. I do not want to spend the next month hiding all of her hoodies."
