Dora smiled into the mirror, glad she had decided to go and see Charlie. As much as she loved Teddy, she was well and truly sick of seeing the same four walls. A drink or two wouldn't go amiss either, and Charlie had seemed like the obvious choice. She really needed someone to spend time with who wasn't going to make her feel either guilty or rejected. She needed to get out and talk to someone other than her mother or Remus.
Dora looked into the mirror and sighed, wishing the thought of Remus hadn't just popped into her head. Now she really needed that drink. She shook her head in an attempt to clear it, and concentrated on her reflection as she changed her hair from the purple it seemed to revert to these days into brightest pink. She looked in slight dissatisfaction at the faded jeans and fitted black vest top she was wearing before checking that Teddy was still sleeping peacefully and leaving their room.
One good thing about staying with her Mother had to be her willingness to babysit Teddy. Otherwise a night out would probably be out of the question. Dora had wondered if she should ask Remus, but wanted to leave a bit of time before seeing him again. She wanted to give herself time apart from him - she was still finding it hard to imagine what her life would be like now - constant reminders of how Remus didn't want her was really not what Dora needed.
"Mother, I'm going now, Teddy's fast asleep. Will you be ok?" Dora said, looking into the living room at Andromeda.
"We'll be fine dear."
"Thanks for babysitting."
"That's alright. Don't enjoy yourself too much with that Weasley boy Nymphadora."
"Bye," Dora said, going into the kitchen before she was tempted to start the old argument about her name. No doubt it would lead to arguments about other things - such as Dora going to see Charlie, when in Andromeda's opinion she should be going to see Remus - and Dora really didn't have the time or energy for arguing.
Dora picked up some money from the sideboard, before stuffing it into her pocket and Apparating herself to the doorstep of The Burrow. She knocked on the door and waited for a reply, feeling strangely nervous.
