Re: In Hogsmeade...
Ah, the young man certainly wasn't amused by the prospect of marrying a Mud-blood. Neither was Rodolphus, but for him it had a purpose. It was freedom, respect, status. It was the only way he could recapture what had been taken away from him when he married Bella, when she demanded they followed Tom Riddle. Not that Rodolphus had disagreed when it came to that.
'If you do not have any half-blood acquaintances, I suggest you make sure you get some, and quick. I am sure Minister Shacklebolt is not going to hold off much longer. I read the Prophet, too, and there hasn't been announced many marriages or births lately.' Rodolphus searched out a vanilla biscuit and took a bite, savouring the sweet, crispy titbit.
'Since we both need to move outside our current circle, I suggest you suggest to the Minister that you accompany me to a few events. Dinner in Diagon Alley, for instance? Or another social event, Quidditch?' Another thought sprung to mind, one Rodolphus hadn't really considered other than briefly. 'You are a- woman's man?' he asked Pucey. These days one never knew. It wasn't as it was earlier, when they hid things like that. But there had been some buggering of tight, young males going on at Hogwarts - even in Rodolphus' days.
