Re: In Hogsmeade...
Adrian arched an eyebrow sharply. A former Death Eater the Minister's poster boy for this? Had the Minister gone completely round the bend? What half-blood or Muggle-born in their right mind would marry a man who'd spent the majority of his adult life in Azkaban for being a Death Eater?
Or perhaps Lestrange just thought it was like that, hoped he had a purpose... Because it had to be difficult to find yourself suddenly free and capable of doing whatever you want... and then to decide what exactly to do.
"I agree we have to do something, but there are other options he seems to be ignoring if he persists in setting up a law that decides who we as purebloods can marry, or not, and when we have to marry and produce children. I believe very firmly in freedom of choice in all personal matters." Which is also why he had decided to follow his own wishes instead of his father's when it came to career choice. And sexual preferences...
"I'm refuse to let anybody view me as ... breeding material. It's degrading and inhuman." And so utterly distasteful to him, he had no idea what he would do, should the Minister's plans truly turn into an actual law. Adrian realised, he should probably not let himself slip into uttering personal opinions to Lestrange. This was work, not a social call.
"But be that as it may, right now it's of less importance. Is there anything we can do to make things easier for you? Do you need anything?"
