Out of Azkaban: Dora and Rodolphus, Azkaban/London/Leaky Cauldron Who: Tonks and Rodolphus Where: Azkaban, London, Diagon Alley and the Leaky Cauldron When: 14th March 1999 Open to:Anybody who might have a plausible errand in Diagon Alley or the Leaky Cauldron.
Rodolphus looked in the small mirror over the basin. The cracked surface showed but a distorted image of him: older, a few wrinkles, but still handsome. It was good to feel silk and brocade against the skin instead of the itchy wool prison uniform. The cream silk shirt and the heavy robes made Rodolphus feel like a person instead of a number. He pulled on a dark brown fur-brimmed cloak. Stoat was always pretty, and his tailor had done a nice job.
His few belongings were already shrinked and in his pocket. A new wand (yew, 15" flexible) was stuck in one sleeve, and Rodolphus had nothing else to do than to sit on the narrow bed and wait for the Auror Shacklebolt would send to fetch him. As if he wasn't able to find London himself!
Rodolphus had accepted the conditions, but it didn't mean he had to like them. But this, the intolerable greyness, that he would do anything to get away from. Even be the Minister's pet. There would come a day where things might change. Rodolphus would do what he could to make them. As long as he did not trigger the vow he had made, of course.
Rodolphus was loyal to no one but himself.
Now, if that Auror would care to do his job, so he could get on with his life...
