Millicent jingled the galleons in her pocket. The Apothecary had bought every creature supply she'd brought them today. Apparently the sale they'd held a few days before had cleared out almost all their winter stock. As she started to step across the street to buy owl treats at Eelyop's, she noticed a floating banner above the door to Quality Quidditch Supplies. It was for the Prides, who were signing autographs. Thinking ahead to her mother's birthday, she decided to do some early shopping. Mrs. Bulstrode loved anything that had a touch of celebrity, and would be happily surprised with something autographed by a professional quidditch player.
On the wall just inside the door was a selection of exciting photos of the Prides in action. The moving images were surrounded by lovely carved frames gilded purple and gold. Millicent picked one out and purchased it, then turned toward the tables where autographs were being signed. She recognized Roger Davies in particular from a recent magazine article.
"Hello. Would you sign this to 'Cerise' please?" she said, giving him her mother's name as she slid the photo from the frame.
