[PM didn't get to talk about the mail quite as much as she'd hoped while at the prom, so she will just have to make up for it today. [It's a nice and busy day for PM--so many new inmates to greet, and mail to deliver, too! With the help of her volunteers, everything is kept running nice and smooth. Or PM hopes it will be smooth, as a number of her volunteers are still green around the edges, but she'll work with them as best as she can. This is the kind of day they exist for, after all!]

[Today is a fairly light day as far as the mail goes, but that's alright--PM spent much of the day training one of her shiny new volunteers. Hiling will need work and discipline, but PM is willing to make the effort in the name of giving her friend something constructive to do that does not involve punching people indiscriminately. Either one can be found at the post office throughout most of the day.]

[The mail has been very slow lately, and while she chalks it up to the heat and humans not wanting to sweat all over their letters, she can only take so much idleness with her work.]

[This is why PM decided to stick a cooler in her mail cart. She intends to hand out popsicles and ice cream bars, along with brochures about the post office. Surely a treat like that will move hearts and writing utensils!]

[As people around the dome begin to get up and go about their waking lives, there is one whose awakening was less-than-pleasant. She currently hurtles full bore through the dome, emitting a high-pitched noise of distress.]

Oh noooooooooo--! [The Peregrine Mendicant slept through her routes, and now she’s trying to make up for it with a high-speed scramble through the residential areas, giving every mail slot and mailbox a frantic once-over for outgoing mail before either shoving something inside or hurrying along.]

[If she was fractionally calmer, she might realize that it wouldn't have made a difference, given how many people were asleep. But, then again, PM has never been one to be especially rational when it comes to the mail. Try to calm her down?]

[PM is seated at her desk. Just barely on screen, Castell can be seen chilling out and nibbling a bit of thawed shrimp. He's also inexplicably wearing a damp lobster-sized kerchief around his upper torso segment.] Greetings, everyone! I am the Peregrine Mendicant, the post master of the Marina Asylum Postal Service. If you have not heard of us yet, please stop by sometime!

Er, but that is not the point of this video. We need volunteers. It is not a daily job so much as one for emergencies or busy days! In exchange, you will receive an extremely flattering uniform and the prestige and pride that come with knowing you are serving a higher cause.

I only require that you are reliable and trustworthy. [Narrowing her eyes, her generally sweet and kind voice takes on a slight edge.] Violating the sacred trust between the postal worker and her recipients is a punishable offense. [And then, brightly and smiling again!] Is anyone interested?

[Under the cover of rainfall, PM sets out on her route carrying a fashionable umbrella and wearing a poncho. That might seem like overkill, but her precious (and already water-proof) mail bag must be protected! And given her use of the umbrella to create a makeshift roof over each mailbox and mail slot to ensure dry letters, the poncho helps prevent rain from pouring down the back of her shirt.]

[Her demeanor is as it would be on any other daily route: so upbeat that it may as well not even be raining at all. She barely even seems to notice the thunder and lightning.]

[Today is a fairly light mail day, which works well for her plans. Otherwise, she might have to take a day off to handle personal matters. Which... no. [Afterward, it is time to take her things to her new home in Sector 4. Since his tank had to be dismantled and emptied for the move, Castell is in a bucket hanging from PM's arm. The albino lobster is wrapped cozily in wet paper towels, except for a small part of his head so that he can still see.]
