[But for now, she's in the shelter kitchen, baking a cake. She would use her new kitchen but it's so clean she hates to ruin it before he sees; and she wants it to be a surprise. The rest of dinner, a beef stew, is bubbling away on the stove top, nearly ready.]

[Kairi felt like she had a lot to do that day... or maybe. Simply. She had a lot to get herself to do so that she wouldn't worry. Because if anything, that was one of her worst habits. Instead of letting herself go static though, she was expending this energy via, yes, another shopping trip.

So, one might catch her looking over flower vases or picking up flowers for the certain idiot that got himself in a one-sided fight. Either way, after that, she was certain to go back to the hospital to place her finds in his room. Feel free to catch her on the way there, too.]
