She stood at the edge of a cliff, darkness surrounding her and the depth below. Clad in her orange God Tier outfit Vriska stared down at nothing, a frown tugging at her lips. At her feet and dotting the edge of the cliff was a brown liquid that had the same consistency as blood, but looked more like mud. Not that anyone would link it to being blood, of course. Some of the spots had dripped on her shoes, but she didn't seem to pay it any mind. Instead she turned to move away, tearing her eyes from the abyss before her.
Slowly, from in between the cracks of the floor white wisps began to rise and take shape into hands and arms. They grabbed at her ankles, wrapping around her much like seaweed and held tight. She attempted to fly away, wings beating hard against the wisps, but it was to no avail. Soon the arms and hands were attached to torsos, more and more surrounding her, grabbing her and pulling her down. They tugged and ripped at her wings and she screamed- screeched, but they didn't care. Despite the hopelessness she never stopped struggling, thrashing, kicking. She had to escape!
The cracks in the floor from where the ghosts had come from began to widen and separate, white light peeking through. She could feel the ground under her crumble and it only made her efforts to fly away double and yet the ghosts still clung to her, holding her down. Soon the darkness was replaced by the extremely bright light and she couldn't help but turn away in an effort to shield her eyes.
She heard it before she opened her eyes and already she knew- how could she forget? The sound of long, slender arachnid legs scratching against the crumbling cliff struck a terrible feeling inside her-
Fear.
If possible her efforts to escape tripled, still screaming, eyes wide and desperate up at the ghosts sealing her death for sure. Her nails dug into the crumbling rock, as if that would doanything to keep her from falling into her lusus's mouth. She dared to look down as rocks fell before her at the gigantic white spider staring up at her with all eight eyes. Vriska knew that look; she was hungry.
Panic rose like bile as her ruined wings tried so hard to fly her away, her throat raw from screaming. Her eyes grew blurry as she felt the giant maw of her lusus bite into her leg and pull her down, blue blood seeping through her clothes and down her lusus's fangs.
