How to Join [Aug. 25th, 2012|11:47 pm] marinanova_df [defenseforce] [ CLOSED ] To join, a character must agree to an interview (which may or may not include mind/emotion reading depending on who is currently on the interview team) and a skills test for the position(s) they are seeking, and must pass all parts. Please fill out the form below as thoroughly as you see fit. You may also request for the interview and/or skills test to be played out ICly, but it's not mandatory! <b>Character name | Canon | <lj user="journalname"> </b> <b>Position applied for:</b> See the roster for details on various positions. Please also state whether or not they would be interested in a leadership position regardless of whether that is available or possible at this time. Certain positions require certain psychological or physical strengths and this is something the interview and skills teams will be paying attention to. Your character may pass the interview, but still require training before they are officially allowed to join a team. If you are seeking a combat role in patrolling and emergency response, do you have a sector preference? <b>Is your character psychologically fit? Please elaborate:</b> Tell us about your characters personality! Are they stressed out easily? How do they handle a crisis? Are they reliable, or more likely to goof off when un-supervised? Mentally stable? The more you tell us, the better! <b>How much of this would the interview team be able to read?:</b> Human error is definitely a thing, and we'd like to leave room for less-than-appropriate members to make the team. If your character is good enough at keeping their micro-expressions in order to slip under the radar of the experienced profiler or can keep certain things hidden through other, possibly superhuman means, this is the place to let us know about that! Please keep in mind that the team is likely to change over time and may include profilers and/or people with superhuman skills able to detect lies or read minds. Be honest and clear in your response so we can evaluate how the current team will see your character. <b>What skills/knowledge/powers/experience does your character possess which would be an asset to the position(s) they are applying for?</b> If you would like to link to a powers write up on your character's journal or your application in this area, you can do so, but please add anything else that would apply specifically to the Defense Force. What is the Defense Force? [Aug. 25th, 2012|11:48 pm] marinanova_df [defenseforce] [ CLOSED ] The Defense Force is an inmate-created and run organization dedicated to the protection of inmates from the wardens, the environment, and each other. Kitty Pryde kitty_has_claws is the current leader though there are several other team leaders and administrators. See the roster for the full break down. The mission, purpose, and execution of the DF will likely be interpreted by everyone a little differently and various team leaders have some discretion to act as they see fit. However, Kitty's current goals are to find a way to stop the wardens from bringing more people to the prison and, if possible, return those who wish to leave. She also wants to keep as many people alive along the way as possible which means being ready for inter-inmate conflict and "natural" disasters. She is not interested in petty crimes or squabbles. She also believes in a strong focus on research and investigative methods. The DF was founded and run by Gino Weinberg uncommonly until he left the dome. It was taken over by Suzaku Kururugi black_as_knight until he also left. In the former prison (Marina classic) the warden supported the DF by providing weapons and life signal readings.
