Position applied for: He isn't sure what he wants to do. He just wants to be one of the scoobies, to help Buffy in a position where he can be helpful. He's up for taking all the skills tests and being placed. (This is weird forever. I think Xander can be very helpful and has a lot of potential, but he is also probably not what any of the testers are going to be looking for. He would probably do best in some kind of made up position like Assistant to the District Manager.)
Is your character psychologically fit? Please elaborate: He is. No mental disorders. He has good intentions of people and world saving. He's used to dealing with BIG scary things like friends dying, supernatural attacks, the world potentially ending, the first evil, etc. etc. and he still comes through. He is initially distrustful of the supernatural given his experiences but as long as you don't try to date Buffy he can and will move past that.
How much of this would the interview team be able to read?: The team can read him like a one-eyed book.
What skills/knowledge/powers/experience does your character possess which would be an asset to the position(s) they are applying for? He has a lot of experience hitting the books to look up various demons and such. He's not the A student or the overachiever, but he is dedicated and he'll do his best to get the job done. He may also bring donuts. How do you not like the guy who brings the donuts? He does have carpentry skills and could construct some basic weapons. Stakes are weapons, right? He also has experience working in teams, fighting vampires and demons, and training others to do the same.
How competent is your character in his/her skill set?: He has a lot of experience, but he's not the best at any of it (except carpentry!) He has a lot of heart, and he is good for morale. Even the bad guys think so! He'll give 110% to get a job done. He's brave and he's willing and Buffy will vouch for him. He should be kept far away from technology. He might be good at taking dispatch calls and arranging teams to go on emergency missions (in fact he'd be pretty great at that) but he would not be able to encrypt a channel. In combat he's got some skills, but they are probably just okay or good. Not great. Definitely not spectacular. He had good aim! But that was before the eye and they are without weapons at the moment. I already mentioned he isn't the smartest of smarty pants, but that he knows how to pour through books looking for information. He is a jack of all trades, master of none.
Would you like to play out the interview?: M. For Maybe. I'm the worst at filling out forms I've helped with decisively. I don't want Kitty to speak up in it of course, but I'd be happy to have a Reid and Xander interview if that's helpful for determining a position (if any) for him.
