Position applied for: Investigative team, and he can be patrol/response anywhere needed
Is your character psychologically fit? Please elaborate: Definitely fit, overall. He can be preoccupied if he experiences very intense emotions, since emotions as a whole are still a relatively new experience for him. He doesn't quite get distracted the way an organic being might, though - think of it like a process taking up more of a computer's RAM than it ought to. Except this computer has a metric $^@&-ton of RAM. It does leave less of his neural pathways open for other tasks if he focuses in on his emotions. He can turn his emotion chip off when it becomes an issue - and certainly, he's not prone to the intense mood swings he was when first adjusting to it.
Data is extremely reliable, performs well under pressure, and is loyal to no end (though with Picard here, other loyalties are playing for second). Generally, his disposition is intensely curious and kind - he's not eager for violence and if subduing an individual is necessary, he will do so while causing as little injury as possible. His instincts aren't as honed as an organic lifeform's, as he's still coming to understand how to "read" others with the aid of the emotion chip. Though he will never call attention to it, if there is an immediate danger, he will be extremely protective of those who are not as strong than he is.
How much of this would the interview team be able to read?: If he does have any emotional responses, he won't hide them well. Lucky for him, he's not super unstable? He'll be very open about the fact that he's an android (not that he has a choice, after how he arrived), willing to detail his strengths and limitations. Though his deepest desire, and ongoing personal quest, is to become more human, he does not and will not accept that he should be treated as less of a person in any way by anyone because of what he is. Address him and treat him as you would anyone else, and he'll be perfectly happy with you.
What skills/knowledge/powers/experience does your character possess which would be an asset to the position(s) they are applying for? Data remembers every fact to which he is exposed, every moment of every day of his life with perfect clarity, and can perfectly recall any of this information at any moment upon command. He will recall all that he learns and experiences in Marina, just as he already recalls every detail of his life since he was discovered and reactivated. He has strong analytical and deductive skills, and processes information at a rate that far exceeds human abilities - which he can store in his memory banks indefinitely for reference. He is also designed to surpass human physical strength - and does, many times over. He does not experience physical or mental exhaustion, though he does have weaknesses unique to his physiology; he has an off switch - a fact which he's less than eager to share - and it is possible, though difficult, for his functions to be interfered with or manipulated through anomalies which interfere with other mechanical systems, forcible hacking, or control by alien entities.
His Starfleet training, his experience, and the guidance of his crew have all made him far wiser and more confident in those abilities less directly tied to his technical nature - though traces of his old naivete can and will still poke through. While he has had command experience, he still performs best working with others. After serving as second officer for many years aboard the Enterprise (...Enterprises?), he has developed strong competency being in a position that gives some leadership while still following the guidance of superiors.
How competent is your character in his/her skill set?: He's an android. His competency level is best described as "somewhat unfair".
Would you like to play out the interview?: I'm open to it - his joining won't be IC just yet either, so getting it done immediately is not an issue. If it can't be arranged, I'm okay assuming it!
Would you like to play out the skills test?: Not opposed but not necessary. It would probably be... very fast?
