[The dragon freezes, picked up enough momentum that it crashes to the ground but keeps moving forward with speed, cracking and breaking into larger chunk--crashing right into a building.

Itachi watched, but focused his attention on the man coming right at him. He jumps back off the stalagmite and runs up the side of a building to get to the roof. Higher ground will give him the better vantage point.]
