[Tyki's mood has shifted somewhat from the manic high of yesterday, the surge of emotions that resurfaced after awakening in this forsaken place again. The inescapable feeling of confinement, the hollowed husk of a man he'd become by the people who once again accompanied him here. He's full of disgust at the thought of existing here again, sick of the twisting agony that goes through him at the slightest recollection of all the days past. What has he become?

He's at the graveyard come nightfall, just as he suggested to Spike. It's nearing midnight, in fact, a dangerous time for this place as the sector stands by the guillotine waiting for the rope to be cut overhead. Perhaps that's why it's so suiting, so close to death itself that he feels comfortable roaming the gravestones with a bottle in hand. A wine bottle whose contents are dripping down the side from the lip which is crookedly capped by cork.

He sets the bottle down on a headstone, dressed in a crisp button down shirt with one sleeve rolled up and the left loose, damp and darkened with a fresh stain spreading up from the cuff. He did say he'd bring Spike something and he could think of no better link to the past than a bottle of freshly run blood. He sits down and leans against that same headstone, waiting the arrival of a good old friend.]

[ Spike's anxious when he arrives at Sector 5, antsy and restless. Part of it is excitement at seeing Tyki again, blended with just as much apprehension at what's about to transpire and then there's the announcement this morning. Sector six, gone. One and five to follow, five that he's currently crossing into, senses on high alert. How long do they have? Hours? Until sunup?

The bottle is what draws his attention to Tyki's location, the thick coppery scent of blood practically punching him in the gut with hunger. It takes effort to not slip subconsciously into game face as he rounds the headstone, his own bottle tightly gripped. ]

Nice night for it. [ What did you do? ]

Hello, friend. [Tyki tilts his head back, leaning against the headstone to grin up at Spike. He was starting to wander in his own mind just now, so the invasion of his expected company is warmly welcomed.

He reaches up behind his head to grasp at the bottle with his good hand, pulling it down and then extending it outward.]
I told you I'd bear gifts. And I thought maybe you'd miss the taste of me.

[ He takes the bottle with some apprehension, looking it over. Yep, that's a bottle full of blood. Fresh blood. Fresh delicious blood and oh god, this is going to be one of those nights, huh? He swallows. ]

You're bloody daft, you are. [ He holds out the whiskey for Tyki to take. ] This'll hit you nice and hard then, if you've been draining yourself like this.

[And Tyki exchanges bottle for bottle happily, popping open the whiskey to take a straight sip. Glasses are far beyond him at this point, but he is a man of sharing - so he sets it down right next to him after a second drink.] You're welcome. And thank you.

[For the whiskey. For coming.]

Don't mention it. Really.

[ He probably shouldn't partake, but with such a precious gift how can he turn it down? Besides, it's been ages since he's last had blood relatively fresh from the tap, and given freely the soul has no say in the matter. He lifts the bottle close to his mouth, letting it linger for a moment, letting himself be washed over with the heavy copper scent before tipping it back. It's barely a mouthful — he's savouring. ]

So... [ He starts, plopping himself down on the grass next to Tyki. ] First day back behind bars. How was it?

Everyone and their mother decides to threaten me, the same stale threats. Yourself included, strange to say. Do you know how I started that conversation, too? Asking which song to play next.

[He knew it was an entrance, but it was also a demonstration. On how he'll always be hated, be feared and will never fit in. Only one person had any semblance of care for his return, and she was a fool. A fool he thinks he still loves, of course. A fool who will do his bar good.] Talk about fun.

C'mon, you know what you did. [ He talked with Ianto about it last night, about why he would've put on a display like that, how he would've played it had he been at full strength. Maybe he's wrong but if anyone knows the power of a dramatic entrance, it's Spike. ]

Besides, I just wanted to put the cards on the table. Would you rather I pretend everything is peachy keen?

[Tyki tips his head in between sips of whiskey, looking at Spike with dark eyes.]

Do they remember what they did? Or am I the only man with remorse in the room. [He reaches over, touching his finger's to Spike's chest. Applying pressure, but that's it.] I can't hurt any of you bastards, you know. Well, aside from doing it like any other damn human could but...

[Sip.] That wasn't why I did it in the first place, so.

Oh, they remember. Believe me, I never let them forget.

[ That much he could do at least, force them to live with the knowledge of what they did to Tyki, and also to him. It really did seem like they'd found the simple solution to all their problems for awhile there.

He doesn't shy away when Tyki presses a finger to his chest. If anything, it's welcome. Being without him was rougher than Spike ever expected it to be, lonelier than he'll ever admit - they had an understanding of each other and with Tyki gone, so was the relief of knowing at least someone really knew what it was like. ]

Figured as much. You got them scared, nonetheless. Says a lot about the kind of impression you left on this place.

[Tyki shakes his head, looking at his hand before flicking his eyes up to Spike's. He's grateful, in a way, or would've been more grateful had they not hollowed him out. Now he can feel the remorse, the pain, the everything - and there's a certain sorrow about having your legacy be pain, suffering and death. He took pride in it before, and he still remembers that feeling, but that was because they only let him be one creature here. He's still that person, the enemy. He'll never be any different.

He lifts his hand, claps it to the side of Spike's cheek with an amused smile before withdrawing it.]
Can always count on you.

Thank you. [He smiles, looking downward again before returning to the whiskey.]

It's the least I could do.

[ They may be even now but Spike still feels indebted. Sure, he has friends now, a healthy emotional life even but before all that there was Tyki, who snatched the chip out of his skull and watched over him as he recovered and drank and played cards and had fun. Tyki who was his friend before he was neutered and housebroken and palatable. You don't forget that.

He takes another mouthful of blood, shakes out a cigarette from his pack before offering it to Tyki. ]

So, now what?

[He looks at the cigarette and takes it with his good hand, still resting the other by his side - blood's dried up to his knuckles, a trickle still running down his fingers. Putting the cigarette between his lips, he waits for a light - and feels tired. So damn tired.]

The place is going to hell around us, yet I'm feeling reminiscent. And apologetic, ahh... [He closes his eyes, smiling. What a weakness.] Bloody mortal hearts and minds, mh?

[ And a light he shall have, along with a concerned look. You're not bleeding to death here, are you? Again? Because that's one repeat he'd be happy to miss out on. ]

Tell me about it. [ He lights a cigarette of his own, reluctantly setting the bottle of blood to the side. ] They're shutting this place down soon. Where are you gonna go?

[ Need a place to crash? Not that he can really offer, as much as he wants to. ]

[Tyki might've lost a good volume of blood and be suffering the effects, but he knows he's a while away from bleeding out. The Sector is bound to go first. He'd laugh if he felt like he had anything in him but tiredness now, a sore empty core of the man he used to be. The man he could've been, had so many things not gone the way they had in life. He's not even sad, now. He feels too much and too little - he's not afraid.]

I'm not going anywhere.

[ That grabs his attention by the balls, squeezing hard enough for Spike to sit up straight and really look at Tyki. It's not entirely a surprise, but still worrying to hear - always figured there would always be enough fight in him but they really did kill him from the inside, didn't they? ]

You're not serious. [ He knows he's serious. He knows there's nothing he can do, nothing he can say to convince him to leave the sector and even more so, he knows that this is the right call. Doesn't make it suck any less. ]

Oh, but I am. [And Tyki doesn't even blink, just continues to stare straight into the distance.]

You and I both know it works out best. Nobody wants to be trapped in here with me, nor I with them. I don't want to live like this, when the only escape I had isn't here. [People who were unaware of his sins. A world he could roam in and pretend he wasn't a toxin, somewhere else to go so he didn't have to see the faces of those in anguish. Somewhere else to go that doesn't make him hate himself as much as he hates everyone else for putting him in this position. He wants his Noah back so he doesn't feel this shit.]

Everyone's happy at the end of the day.

[ He falters, covers up the wave of emotion with a deep drag off his cigarette. Hearing it doesn't make anything better, but at least he can respect Tyki's wishes and even more so... ]

I get it. Hell, couple of months back I would've begged for the same chance. [ And then so many things happened and he's probably in a better position now than he's ever been, but he's not daft enough to try and convince Tyki of it. ]

I'll keep you company, then. As long as I can.

[Tyki's grateful for Spike's lasting friendship. Out of so many, there's so few left that ever saw a different side of Tyki or knew and understood the side that scared the rest away. He drinks more whiskey, feeling the effects - or is that just how you feel when you resign to dying? If this is dying. It's the closest he'll get to here.]

Not that long left. You don't need to stay, I'll be fine.

Oh, I'm staying. No other place I'd rather be. [ Sorry, Ianto.

He settles in against the headstone, quietly smoking, one eye on the network so he won't miss the deadline. As fitting of an end as that would be, the two of them facing the great white void together, he does have people waiting for him. ]

Fine, but I'm not a man good with last words. [Not a man good at saying goodbye, really.]

Though I suppose this would be the time to spill sordid memories, if there were any. I just don't know where to start. [And it won't matter, once he's gone. He will barely be a speck in the lives of others at this point - he's not a story for any history book.]

If you want to get shit off your chest, I'm all ears.

[Tyki's got a grin to him, eyes closed as he thinks for a moment.

A long moment, akin to the last time he was blood drained and fading away next to Spike.]
Forgive me Father, for I have sinned... it has been, ah.

[He laughs, looking up at the sky.] Too long since my last confession. I think I was younger than sixteen, before I became a Noah. I was just an orphan kid in Lisbon before they came to me after my forehead split open with stigmata, welcoming me in to the family. That's when I realized the truth about churches. About exorcists and false Gods.

Ten years of going back and forth from human to monster, as Jack has affectionately called me, knowing that whatever I did - whoever I killed - I could forget about it when I went back to my life. It was for the better of man, an order... a need. But then I'd go home to the people who I loved, the people who loved me back and I coped.

[Here? Here that wasn't possible.] I lived like any other man.

[ It's ironic, the two of them sitting here in a graveyard without any corpses, drinking blood and whiskey and having an impromptu confession. In a way it sums up their entire relationship and although he's met up with Tyki under the guise of gauging how much of a threat he is, that was never really the truth. At best it was a side effect. He's here for entirely personal reasons.

He makes a noise at the mention of Jack and his hard edge morals that change and flex when convenient to him, but doesn't interrupt. That's not what a priest is supposed to do, right? ]

[Tyki drinks more, savoring the taste - a fine last meal.] I didn't choose this, it chose me. Noah are the chosen ones, descendants of the original Noah. We're meant to reshape the world, yet every angle sees us as monsters. God himself flooded the world, drowned those not in the Ark.

[Is he justifying himself anymore? He's not sure. There's so much ground and not enough need for cover.] I have more sins that you can count.

Here's hoping.

[ He takes a couple of steps back, reluctantly, but there's no time left so he just continues to back away casually until he's out of sight. His heart is about as heavy as his steps as he picks up the pace, hoping to escape the sector before it's all gone. ]

[Tyki watches for a minute before letting his head bow, the weight of reality returning to his shoulders like a cold wash of water. This is it, and while he'd have it no other way - while he's ready and willing, there's still the mortal apprehension. The human fear.]

Hail Mary, full of grace...
