Day 436 / Action / Closed to Spike and Ianto
They've started making more of an effort to actually go on dates and interact with each other more outside the bedroom (even if it often ends up in similar sorts of activities as they do in the bedroom!) and now they're extending that to a three-way date night down at the Blood Shack. Jack finds it rather enjoyable to head out with Ianto on his arm, a pleasant tingle of anticipation inside him. Things are stable and really rather good, there's no big drama going on, and he can just look forward to a night out with his two lovers and enjoy seeing where the night takes them.

And, you know, watching Ianto enjoy the after-effects of his spanking when he bends over to play pool.

((OOC: I'm just going to put this out there now: this thread will almost certainly become NSFW at some point!))

If he's honest Ianto is actually impressed Jack's organized all this, even with his obvious ulterior motives. It's true though, they don't do things like this much and it might be nice to change that, to make this actually feel like a relationship all of them are involved in, instead of a relationship he has individually with two people who occasionally sleep together. Whatever the case this should, hopefully, be a nice evening. It's pool in a bar so he's dressed down today in jeans rather than a suit but with the way Jack keeps glancing at his ass and smirking - he is not as subtle as he thinks he is - he gets the suspicion he won't be wearing them all night. Predictable.

He pushes open the door the the Blood Shack, glancing around for Spike and smiling. "Do you ever get any real customers in here?"

Spike is predictably behind the bar as always, smoking and fiddling with the record player Garcia got him a million years ago while he waits. He looks up as the door opens, snorting in response.

"You think I would've taken it over if I did?"

He saunters out from behind the bar, hands in the pockets of his jeans, so casual that you can tell that he's just a smidge nervous about tonight. They haven't done that much, the three of them, certainly nothing like this and he's still struggling somewhat with how to act when it's not just one on one.

"Jez stops by from time to time."

"Bit short on vampires these days, aren't we?" Jack observes, shrugging out of his coat and hanging it up, which is his only concession to dressing down for pool. Well, that and the fact that his sleeves are ready rolled up out of the way too.

He's aware of Spike's touch of nerves, partly because he's got a touch of them too. This *is* different from one on one. They each have a slightly different way of acting towards each of their two lovers and gelling that all together is always going to be a little awkward at first.

He's hoping that booze and pool will help them all ease into it a bit.

Speaking of which... "Mine's a whisky, thanks barkeep!" he suggests, with a cheeky grin.

Ianto isn't as nervous but then again he's probably the most comfortable with both of them, the one who spends the most time taking advantage of this relationship of theirs. As a result it only feels a little odd to step away from Jack and walk over to kiss Spike hello as he steps out from behind the bar. This is all still a work in progress, and it probably always will be but it's starting to feel almost normal and as far as he's concerned that's a good thing.

He doesn't order a drink, only because how much time have the two of them spend here by now? Spike knows his order. "I suppose you'll just have to put up with us for the evening instead then."

"Been short on vampires for a while."

Which makes him simultaneously relieved and a bit homesick. Can't really remember the last time he didn't have his kind around him - or rather, it's not a time worth remembering. He kisses Ianto back, though a fair bit more restrained than he would've been had they been alone, before rolling his eyes at Jack and reaching over the counter to fetch a bottle and three glasses. Whiskey seems to be one of the strongest things binding them together.

"Only because I got nothing better to do."

Which is an outright lie. This is a night planned by the two of them, a way to casually ease into more fun things, entirely intentional and something he's been looking forward to all day.

Jack watches them kiss with open enjoyment and absolutely no jealousy, and then grins at Spike as he does actually go to get him his requested drink.

"Not exactly a lot of competition in the nightlife around here," he agrees. He takes a glass once Spike's poured it, and lifts it in a brief toast to the two of them before taking a very pleasant drink.

"In fact, the three of us are probably about the most exciting thing that happens here. Perhaps we should start selling tickets!"

Trust those two to immediately make things feel awkward. Ianto decides to ignore it. He's the one atthe center of all this, and if that means it's his job to keep everything running smoothly so be it. He's good at that sort of thing after all, even out of the butler suits.

"We're not selling tickets," He replies quickly as he accepts his drink because he's learned the hard way that sometimes Jack takes these suggestions too seriously. "Anyway I was under the impression I got to watch you two play pool tonight. Let's start there for a show, shall we?"

You'd think it'd be easier if it wasn't the three of them, but Spike is starting to suspect that without Ianto there to mediate it would all have fallen apart long before it even started. He rolls his eyes at Jack again - going to be a lot of that going on - and steps in next to Ianto, subtly sliding a hand down his ass.

"Just watching, are you? Where's the fun in that?"

Jack pouts at Ianto's immediate squashing of the tickets idea, even though it actually was just in jest, and gives Ianto an amused grin at his remark - a grin which only widens as he watches Spike oh-so-subtly feel out the tenderness of Ianto's ass.

"Oh, you think you're watching, do you?" he taunts, stepping up beside Spike to show they're totally together in planning this. "Oh, no. I don't care which of us you play first, but you are totally playing. After all, how else are we going to get the most out of watching you enjoy those lovely bruises?"

Ianto is particularly gifted at an expression that says he's clearly humoring someone and he treats both of them to it now. Funny how he doesn't make a move away from that hand on his ass - which is still very bruised from his latest antics with Jack - or the way Jack crowds up in his space. He can think of worse ways they could be hanging up on him than this, so he's not terribly inclined to complain.

"Fine, you two sort out who I'm losing to first then and let's get on with it." He's not terrible at this game but they both have a few centuries of practice on him so he isn't particularly optimistic about his chances.

Spike gives Ianto's ass a playful slap before withdrawing to fetch a pair of cues, giving Jack a look as he returns.

"You want to warm him up?"

Because clearly he's the superior pool player here and it's only fair if Ianto gets a gentle warm up before they get into the real deal.

He raises an amused eyebrow at Spike for that insinuation that Spike's a better player than he is - they never even really got started the last time, after all, so Spike hasn't really seen him play properly yet - but takes the proffered cue without demur because he really doesn't care which of them goes first.

"Sure. I would say I'd give him a thrashing, but hey. Already done that!"

Ianto can't bite back a faint yelp as Spike's hand connects with the bruises he knows perfectly well are there. It's not enough to distract from all the innuendo flying around of course and he bites back a smile that would ruin his annoyed expression.

"Thrash away, sir," He replies in that best Torchwood butler tone, the one that is flirtation hidden behind just the right amount of politeness.

Evidence doesn't play that big of a part when it comes to confidence or deciding who's the better player. Of course it's him, what are you talking about, there's no need to prove that. Grinning, he retreats to the sidelines for a smoke, carefully watching the game as it unfolds.

He chuckles, and moves round to the head of the table. "I'll break off," he announces, because obviously he's better at this than Ianto is so it makes sense if he starts.

Saying that, he's out of practice and his break off shot, whilst splitting the balls, doesn't manage to pocket any so he grunts and gestures at Ianto to take his shot, and goes back to lean on the bar and drink his whiskey and enjoy the show.

If he wasn't so glad they've worked together to plan all this Ianto would be incredibly annoyed by how insufferably smug the two of them are being just now. He's not that terrible at this although it is hard to focus when they've both clearly picked a spot that lets them enjoy a good view of him bending over the table. Hopefully they won't be so busy staring at his ass that they don't notice him rolling his eyes before trying to take his shot. He misses as well, writes it off as being distracted by his audience and glances over his shoulder at Jack. "Your turn, I believe."

Spike can multitask, it's fine. Eyerollings are noticed, as is the ass and the missed shot and he can't keep himself from rolling his own eyes, snorting in a mocking fashion.

"And here I was hoping for a bloody challenge..."

Jack doesn't even bother looking for the eyeroll he knows is going to be there; he just leers at Ianto's ass, enjoying the way the jeans pull tight over skin he knows is still bruised and swollen.

He grins when Ianto gives him that look and heads over to the table, tossing Spike an amused look over his shoulder as he bends to take his shot. "Give him a chance. You know he's got a lot of distraction going on in his pants!"

This time, the ball runs easily into the centre of the pocket and he proceeds to pot another four, before missing one and in the process setting Ianto up for a shot that's more or less unmissable.

"I highly doubt that's the last time you'll say that about me tonight," Ianto quips back, taking advantage of Jack's mistake to finally begin to score some points in this game. Not that the game is the point of tonight at all.

"Wasn't talking about him."

Spike rolls his eyes - you don't have to point it out, you know. Half the fun is knowing and not saying a word about it. Either way, he settles in by the counter, quietly smoking his cigarette and watching the game unfold.

"Absolutely not," he promises Ianto, his eyes twinkling, because whatever Spike prefers, he's never been able to keep away from the innuendo. He watches Ianto finally pot some balls, scrutinising every time Ianto bends over for any delicious signs of discomfort.

And pointedly ignores Spike's insult. Spike will get what's coming to him when they eventually face each other round the table.

(Or not, because he's likely to get just as distracted by Ianto as Ianto is, if not more so.)

Oh, there's more than a little discomfort and since Jack seems to be enjoying it so much there's no point in hiding the stiffness he still feels in his muscles when he moves or the way the denim of his jeans rasps painfully over the bruises Jack left behind. He can't bite back a faint wince as he bends over the table again for another shot. As sore as he is he's loving it every bit as much as Jack is. "You seem to be making me work for these shots. I'd almost say you're enjoying it."

Spike's enjoying this too, quite happily faded into the background with his smokes, pouring another glass of whiskey. The game was a good idea, he doesn't usually get the chance to watch these two in action without him being an active part of the conversation. Observing is almost as fun as playing, he finds.

Did he just discover something about himself? Nah.

Oh, those are some delightful reactions from Ianto, and he smirks every time Ianto winces or sucks in a quick breath.

"Me? Enjoying it?" he echoes, his face the picture of innocence as he straightens up after missing an easy pot for the sole purpose of leaving Ianto an irresistible shot into the corner - but one which he'll have to stretch down the whole length of the table to reach.

Hardly a subtle setup with that shot but it's what they're here for after all. Ianto stretches across the table, breath catching as his sore skin protests against the position. He takes his time, letting them both decide how much they want to blatantly enjoy the view, or, preferably in his opinion, get a little more hands on here.

Although Spike feels oddly obligated to hold up the rules of the game — it's not his turn yet — he can't help but perk up at the way Ianto's breath catches, how the fabric of his jeans stretch over sore skin. It's tantalizing, even if this isn't quite his cup of tea (if anything he was the one receiving pain, not doling it out). His eyes flicker over to Jack for a moment, watching his expression.

Jack's hands are twitching, aching to grab at that gorgeous, sore ass to perfectly displayed, but he controls himself because he does so love anticipation and there's so much more here to enjoy. He grins unashamedly at Spike when Spike glances at him, and when Ianto finally misses again he comes to the table with renewed purpose.

Down go all his remaining balls, followed by the black, and he grins triumphantly (and rather smugly, because that wasn't a bad result) and holds out his cue to Spike.

"Your turn, I believe!"

Ianto can't say he's exactly surprised when Jack keeps his hands to himself. It's exactly the sort of game they used to play back at the Hub, working each other up with no physical contact at all because that was the whole point of it all. So his expression is entirely innocent as he straightens up and watches Jack pass the cue over to Spike.

"A second round of humiliation for me, I presume."

Spike stubs out the cigarette and shrugs out of his coat before grabbing the cue, twirling it casually in his hand as he's won't to do. The point of this isn't to win and he knows that but dicks are out to be measured and he was never very good at backing down from a challenge like that.

"Don't act like you're not enjoying this." Grinning he sets the cue down beside the table and starts collecting the balls. "Feel up for breaking?"
