[ It struck him that morning that, despite going all official and practically living together, they'd actually never really gone out on a date. Considering what a fucking asshole he's been for most of the time they've known each other, Wade figures it's about time he does something to make up for it.

So, he gets into the suit and hits the streets, returning about half an hour later with a cake box. Inside is something very special. ]

He said twenty minutes, but he hardly needs that much time to pull on the pair of jeans that hugs his bottom just right, his nice shoes, and perhaps the only button down he owns in a deep blue. His hair is just naturally fluffy already, so why mess with perfection?

He pops back out after ten minutes. ]}

[ Ideas he'll never actually explore because ow. In the time it takes Kirk to get changed, Wade has managed to eat a chunk of the cake before depositing it in the fridge and strapping on the light-up bowtie. It's beautiful and makes him feel cool like Tron. ]

He might not understand all of Wade's references and jokes, but he could get the meaning and they had enough common ground that their mutual dorkiness somehow managed.
