"It was a bit of a joint effort." He wouldn't have been able to do this with anyone besides Jack and he knows it. It feels important to have that, something that's theirs and theirs one even with Spike in the picture. He slowly begins to relax under Jack's touch, unbelievably happy right now. It feels like a weight he didn't even know he's been carrying around for the past four months has been lifted. What happened with Tyki isn't constantly on his mind the way t used to be but this is the first time he's really felt free of it, even if he wasn't aware that cloud was still hanging over him.
He glances over his shoulder at the bruises and winces. "I think I might like both of you have them." He tries to imagine Spike's face when he sees what they've done this time and smiles. As satisfying as it might be he can feel the ache down to his muscles, along with the bright burning pain in his skin and relief sounds nice just about now.
