[431] Video/ Beach Birthaversary Mingle

Hey guys! It's me again, Becca, back at it with the beach plans for the 'Birthaversary' as I like to call it. There'll be good company and great food at the Beach in Sector 1 all day, so come on out okay? There'll be dancing and beach smores. And gifts for everyone. If that doesn't sell you, let me know what will.

It's also kinda my birthday. You don't wanna disappoint the birthday girl, do you?

[The Beach]

[Rebecca's done her small part in setting up the beach for some all-day fun, from a volleyball net to some (half assed) streamers hanging from the beach huts. There are coolers full of ice and drinks next to a barbecue set up that she's hoping she can con her lovely boyfriend into working at - otherwise it's free grill for those self-inclined. There's food such as salads, burgers, hot-dogs and veggie options ahoy, there's also a ton of pies and cakes contributed by one Charlotte Charles on some set up tables with checkered table cloths. On one such table nearby there is a table of idential bags for guests. Rebecca took some time yesterday to stick random small trinkets and generic gifts in each one so that everyone goes home with something in celebration.

Come nightfall there will be light from some lanterns to set the mood for a warm night by the fires easily lit individually or the larger bonfire that will take place more center stage for smores and general hand-warming. Throughout the day there will be some alcoholic beverages present, but come darker skies it's more liberally passed about in the name of good fun and celebration.]

	Feelings were complicated. Very, very complicated and god this was why he told himself he should always avoid them,but it was hard in a place like this. Harder still when he so genuinely liked the other person. He smiled at Jack and chuckled, winking at him to acknowledge the compliment before going a touch quieter, licking his lips. "It's Wade. "Spoilsport," he pouted, pretending to grouch for a moment before shrugging and grinning. "Well, at least I have a excellent imagination, so that shouldn't be too difficult."

Not to mention personal experience with both of them, even if had been mostly fake memories with Kirk and completely fake with Wade. It couldn't be too far from reality, surely?

"So, come on then, tell me all about it," he said, propping himself up on one elbow so he could properly look at Kirk and enjoying seeing him so happy. "How did this all start, anyway? And what happened to make you realise it was more serious?"

"Back when we had the bands," he said, not wanting to give away to much, unsure of how much Wade would want anyone to know, but he supposed the basics were all right. "We both just decided it would be nice to have someone to be at least a little intimate with, relieve that sort of thing, you know? We were just at red - you saw it."

He rubbed his wrist where the band had been, still amazed it was gone, as if a weight had been lifted off him.

"As for becoming serious - it happened after we lost our clothes. We got into a bit of a fight, and worked it out and now..." he made a motion with his hand, because he had already said the rest.

He nodded at the first part, because of course he of all people got the need to 'relieve that sort of thing', and then made a face at the mention of the naked day. He hadn't had the slightest problem with it himself, of course, but Wade... Yeah, he could imagine the scarred man hadn't handled that well.

"I hadn't thought about how that day would have affected people like Wade. Is he all right now?"

He nodded. "He has his suit back. You've seen him - big old dork in his black speedo," he rolled his eyes, but there's affection in the motion, a smile curling at the corner of his lips thinking about it. Such a dork, Wade.

He didn't want to talk to deeply about it, not here, and he didn't feel right talking to deeply of Wade's problems. They were his to speak about to people he wanted to talk about them with.

"We made up by jousting dick-mobiles."

He chuckled fondly. "Yeah, dork is the word! And yeah, he seemed all right earlier, but you know him. He's as bad as I am at actually admitting things aren't okay."

Or at least, he was in that fake future, which was mostly what he knew Wade from.

He laughed warmly at the last part. "Yeah, I glimpsed that monstrosity he'd put together - from a distance! Didn't dare go any closer, frankly! That seemed... very him!"

"Yeah, he is, but... I think it's okay. For now at least." Until the next time his suit gets taken from him and he's left with just the hoodie. Or nothing at all. But they would cross that bridge when they got there. Kirk didn't see the sense in chasing demons.

He chuckled at the way Jack described it. It was quite apt.

"To be honest, I didn't want to get near it either, but it made for a good peace offering, so..." he shrugged.

	He nodded in agreement. It was scary, this thing he had with Wade, if only because he had never agreed to such a whole commitment before. But he was going to try. "But of course.
