[431] Video/ Beach Birthaversary Mingle

Hey guys! It's me again, Becca, back at it with the beach plans for the 'Birthaversary' as I like to call it. There'll be good company and great food at the Beach in Sector 1 all day, so come on out okay? There'll be dancing and beach smores. And gifts for everyone. If that doesn't sell you, let me know what will.

It's also kinda my birthday. You don't wanna disappoint the birthday girl, do you?

[The Beach]

[Rebecca's done her small part in setting up the beach for some all-day fun, from a volleyball net to some (half assed) streamers hanging from the beach huts. There are coolers full of ice and drinks next to a barbecue set up that she's hoping she can con her lovely boyfriend into working at - otherwise it's free grill for those self-inclined. There's food such as salads, burgers, hot-dogs and veggie options ahoy, there's also a ton of pies and cakes contributed by one Charlotte Charles on some set up tables with checkered table cloths. On one such table nearby there is a table of idential bags for guests. Rebecca took some time yesterday to stick random small trinkets and generic gifts in each one so that everyone goes home with something in celebration.

Come nightfall there will be light from some lanterns to set the mood for a warm night by the fires easily lit individually or the larger bonfire that will take place more center stage for smores and general hand-warming. Throughout the day there will be some alcoholic beverages present, but come darker skies it's more liberally passed about in the name of good fun and celebration.]

It's a party, so Jack's there. During the day, he'll be about in his bright blue Speedos - playing volleyball with Rebecca (feel free to watch) or anyone else who wants to join in, swimming and sunbathing, and partaking of the food (although not cooking it himself; that's so not his thing). Come evening, he'll don a lighter version of his normal outfit (i.e. button-up shirt without the t-shirt underneath, and no coat) and he'll be drinking and dancing and laughing and roasting marshmallows, and generally throwing himself into the party.

	What is this, a big mass of human laying on the beach? Shadow sneaks up on his prey, sneaky sneak. He pouncing with the intent to bring his paws down on Jack. Possibly to wind him, but not to hurt. Shenanigans. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	He was drifting, happy and relaxed - and then suddenly he's got umpteen pounds of adolescent lion coming down on him. He squawks and rolls instinctively, then clocks who his "attacker" is and relaxes back onto his back, laughing up at Shadow. 	Giddy, he gives a challenging growl, but gives a pause as he looks Jack up and down. "Where would you have hid it?" He's practically naked. Hm. "Did they not put ypur clothes back?" The first question gets him a rather wicked grin, because once upon a time he used to have a hidden gun on him even when he was completely naked. "Under my towel?" he suggests mildly, going the PG route. "Or buried just under the sand near my hand?"

Then the grin turns into fond laughter at the last part. "It's called sunbathing. Doesn't really work if you're all covered up! Anyway, it's not like you're wearing much more!"

	"I guesso? But why would you go through the trouble to bury it? Get sand in the gears and blow your hand off!" He snorts at that and shakes his head. How foolish. "It's a sacrifice one has to make sometimes," he says solemnly, eyes dancing playfully - although to be honest he can remember at least one occasion when sunbathing on a beach necessitated hiding a gun nearby. It was a very long time ago, though - and a much more sand-resistant gun!

He tilts his head with interest at this viewpoint. "So why are you wearing shorts, then?"

	"I have not. I do not participate in any sports clubs at school." She thinks she would have enjoyed it. her reflexes are more than good. In fact she seems to be paying more attention to the conversation than the ball as she catches it. "And now I throw it back? While trying to prevent you from catching it?"
