Re: PTSD and You.
[Shadow was lurking in a shadow step, climbing out after a minute or two to see who was around. He'd been prompted by Shiro to go but he wasn't even sure what it meant to have PSTD, but he was told once he'd had it.
So he sits on a chair looking very uncomfortable, working out what the word meant. It was post traumatic stress disorder. Did he have stress? Yes, over being a captive for a few years, and forcibly merged with his mentor and trying to traverse a mental obstacle course that nobody understood.
He missed him selves, his human half and Orion. He saw them both as separate people, as opposed to him, components of him. He missed the ability to see ether of them, to look down at Matt's face and see his eyes light up when he figured something out, or to see Orion looking down at him with pride.
It's an empty feeling, and confusing. But mostly he just feels the pain and loss of losing his family to the villains who needed to add his power to their ranks. Or the steps they took to try and mold him into one of their own. That's what the word meant.
He ended up pulling his legs up to his chest and hugging them, ears turning back the more he thought about it.
