[ At some point, he fell asleep, warm and comfortable and safe in a couch fort with Ianto pressed against his side. He slept and then he woke up and nothing was warm or comfortable or safe anymore. Sitting up with a start, as if from a nightmare, Spike scrambles out of the couch half prepared to find himself in a blood bath again. ]

Wasn't talking about his — I was talking about yours. [ A smirk and a nod to Ianto — you're both terrible, you know that right? No wonder he's exhausted already, just from being in the same room with you two and totally not from barely sleeping and stressing himself into a wet smear. ]

Not that it matters much now that Jack's gone ahead and admitted to shagging tea cosies.

Well in that case I don't mind taking a bit of credit. And I think it's a safe assumption that if anyone is going to propose something sexual related to tea or coffee it's much more likely to be me. [The fact that they're having this conversation at all after the stress of yesterday is such a relief he can't help but smile. Also would you just come snuggle on the couch before you fall asleep on your feet you surly vampire?]

[Jack didn't get much sleep either, between worrying about his invisibility and worrying about wherever the hell Ianto and Spike had got to, and he lets out a massive yawn as Ianto snuggles against him.]

You know, I don't think I'm going to get much further into this day without either a bit of a nap or some of your fabulous coffee to wake me up! [Glancing between the two of them, because they both seem to be favouring opposite ends of the spectrum here.]

Even being worried he knows when not to push him. He doesn't think Spike will do anything stupid but he can understand him needing space. It certainly wouldn't be the first time that's been his reaction to a personal crisis. So his reply is casual with a healthy dose of perceptive mixed in.] Alright. Don't make yourself too scarce, alright?

He's quite surprised when Ianto seems so calm about the idea of Spike leaving, but he's learned to defer to Ianto on matters of Spike so he doesn't make a big thing about it, just snuggles against Ianto even more.]

Mmm, fine, if you don't want to snuggle we'll have to make do with just the two of us, then.

[Then he opens his eyes properly to give Spike a straight look.] We're here if you need us, though, right?

Yes, daddy. [ Is that good, did you like that. He's not sure which response he's hoping for the most. ] I'll be back, eventually. Got other people to hang around than you two, you know.

[ So seriously don't worry about it, he'll go talk to Jez and clean up the apartment, or maybe swing by Rebecca's place for some mindless chatter. Maybe go to the Shack and clear his head with some Ramones. Bring normalcy back. ]
