[Carl had decided on a rather cheesy vampire costume, minus the teeth of course. He was actually rather proud of it, the whole ensemble being better than what he had seen back home.

Given that he had never thought he would see this again, he was all about the trick-or-treating, getting perhaps way too much candy. He had wandered by the maze, but had decided against it. He really wanted to avoid anything that might remind him of home and seeing something resembling a walker... that might be too much.

So he was staked out by the food and dance party, looking to see if there was anyone to hang out with]
