There have been times when the Defense Force should have been there to help him and it failed, just like there have been times when it succeeded. In terms of success rate and morality it's really no different than Torchwood which is probably why he's still comfortable with it. I get it. And I'm not going to try to talk you into rejoining. I know it's more of a symbol than an organization that does much good but I still think we need it.
