No, miss - these are sweet. It was my understanding that most of the foods provided by the generous hosts would be savoury, and so I hoped a confectionery would complement them. [The last thing he'd want to do is rival the other foods and take away from everyone's hard work!]

There are spicy desserts I know how to make, but I hope that you will enjoy this one even though it is mild in flavour.
