The comment smoothed out the blush from his cheeks. Instead, he smiled faintly. Ah- well, he certainly didn't intend to die any time soon. While he could be considered a reckless fighter-- it wasn't as though there was no danger using his claw. He had to be up close and personal. But that didn't mean he wasn't careful.
"We all die." It was a simple fact. And the dragons, well- they would do so a little sooner than their companions. "But if I am to die, I would be happy to do so defending the people I care about. I would much prefer that, then to pass away while bed ridden." Unable to move, and emancipated, like his father.
Inevitably, it would happen. One day, he knew it would. He didn't want to be upset or fear such a day though. Instead, he would live fully in the time that they had. No dragons since the original had ever been as blessed as they were- to be reunited with King Hiryuu.
That was more than enough.
"However-' He finally murmured, to stave off an oncoming rebuttal. "It is not my intention to needlessly die for no reason. I have no desire to reach such an end any time soon."
