The sudden plop beside him gently shook the bed, and Kija opened one eye to peek over at the other dragon. It was good to hear him laugh. From not only the events with Yona and Hak, and the disappearance of a dear friend, but their circumstances, too. The amusement made him smile in turn, eyes softening.
He was glad that Jae-Ha had followed the princess. That he no longer had to contend with such a hateful village, and that only it's shadows remained. He hoped that one day, even those would vanish, and the memories wouldn't haunt his dreams anymore. While he couldn't recall every dream he experienced that strange night when people seemed to freely roam one another's dreams, the memory of Jae-Ha's still sickened and upset him. All simply because he had received a blessed gift, he had been treated poorly. It was pure evil and ignorance.
Thoughts regarding Jae-Ha's village shifted back to the man himself. As the other stretched, he glanced down toward their feet. All day, the other had jumped around freely, and even had exposed his leg. Soaring through the sky, even within a town at times it wasn't exactly uncommon for Jae-Ha. But in all their time together he had barely caught a glimpse of the other's leg.
Except for today.
"You did not cover your leg so much today." It was just a comment, but curiosity threaded within his voice. His body shifted and he turned onto his side with one arm to prop his head up while he studied him. Blue eyes caught his deep emerald gaze, and his brows furrowed down in thought, his question clear before even voicing it. It wasn't like him to be so unguarded. He was flamboyant and loud, but he never ever showed off his leg. What changed today? He wanted to ask. But instead he simply commented.
"It's magnificent. Your powerful leg is incredible, Jae-Ha."
And he shouldn't ever feel ashamed or as though he should hide it.
