The day had started out so well. It was amazing how quickly it could plummet, and the fact that it had at all left Kija feeling more frustrated than not. What reason did he have to feel down? There was none. It was unmistakable... the sudden - or maybe not so sudden closeness between the princess and Hak.
He was happy for them. Both were dear companions and he was glad that they could be honest with one another.
So what right did he have to allow his heart to hurt so much?
His shoulders hung somewhat as he dragged himself forward. He needed to simply find somewhere to spend the rest of the night with a few more drinks, and then to sleep it all off. He would be better in the morning, he determined.
Somewhere along his slightly aimless trek, Ryokuryuu fell in beside him. Cheeks flushed from the alcohol, he glanced up at the taller dragon when he spoke. Did he have a specific destination? He didn't really know the place well enough to be sure.
"Not particularly." He blinked and glanced around him. He had been wandering with the assumption that once he found somewhere comfortable he would just settle in. "I was thinking about spending the night out. Yourself?"
