Ehee- I don't think it was the most popular job back home, but someone had to do it. My adoptive father was the headmaster, so even had I not wanted to be there probably wasn't a lot of choice anyway.
[Most of the dayclass thought they were spoil sports though. Lifting a hand up to her chin she hums thoughtfully.]
The curfew, though...? [Where to start] The school was divided into two times in which students attended classes. There was the day class and the night class. The day class was, as a whole, a lot larger and more similar to a regular boarding school. In comparison the night class was a lot smaller, and consisted of a group of incredibly elite students.
[She scratches a cheek and smiles at him.]
The night class in actuality though consists of vampires. Originally they're individuals that the chairman gathered to prove that vampires and humans can coexist together peacefully. He used to be a hunter-- [There's a short pause] Well, right now actually he's standing in as the President for the Vampire Hunter's Association... [They forced him into it as a puppet head though, really...] Er- anyway, the government actually keeps the existence of vampires a secret. The belief is that if humans-- outside of hunter families, were to realize that they exist there'd be mass chaos and fear. My adoptive father, though, believes that if vampires who believe strongly in peace can coexist along side humans it will help prove that we can all live together peacefully.
[Her smile after makes it clear she believes along those same lines.]
Anyway- the curfew was in place because the day class still isn't allowed to know yet of the existence of vampires. It's the law really. So we had to make sure that no one found out. And we also had to assure that he night class was behaving as well. There's a lot of rules and things. Like no drinking blood on campus, no leaving academy grounds, and so on.
