[While on Zero's side, he's a little surprised (but pleased) that his question wasn't, for once, snipped at. A step in a better direction? Maybe a tiny one. ]

Yeah, they are.

[He won't go into all of the details as they probably aren't needed. Breathing, a pulse, warm skin, etc etc. Not to mention they have a completely different set of DNA than humans. Alive is alive.

There are plenty like that at home. Not the soul part, but the behavior and mindset. Many who only care for themselves and do whatever they want.

[While he very much does not agree or like with that last part, he knows commenting on it won't get him anywhere else. He also isn't going to mention that it's those types who have the hunters after them.]

I suppose the closest there is to not having a soul, or along the lines of demonic, would be one of the classes of vampires. Where it differs is they have no will at all. They attack indiscriminately, acting purely on their lust for blood, and no sense of self.
