1/3 Three parts because I couldnt do it in one or two...
[Content once he hands her the trinket, she kicks her legs back in forth in the chair, holding it up so that she can peer inside. It's something important, clearly. Holding up the earring beside it, she's quite obviously happy to have both.
That's when he might see another vision, even as she sits there. A beautiful woman with long, wavy hair sits in the chair. Her resemblance to Yuuki is so striking that there's no mistaking she's family. Sitting in a loveseat with a very young Yuuki, she's reading a book.
'And after dawn came, that place became a really big forest.
Clearly excited, the little girl listening to the story glances up to her mother, eyes opening wide. 'Did the trees multiply? How many were there?'
Smiling affectionately she continues, voice animated as she speaks. 'You're right. There's sooooo many that no matter how you count, you can't finish counting it even in several days.'
Amazed, Yuuki marvels up at her. 'Thaaaat many?'
'Mm~!'
'Magic is so cool!'
The merriment in the room is infectious, but pauses after a moment when the woman suddenly looks up, directing her gaze toward the doorway.
'How long are you going to stand there for? Kaname.'
'Ah! Big brother!'
There in the doorway stands a young boy, probably recognizable to Zero, even despite the age. He looks surprised and chagrined to suddenly be called out to, but the woman in the chair doesn't relent on him.
'You're also welcome here'.
With a small shake of his head he looks embarrassed and put on the spot. 'Eh... It's all right. He turns away from the door to face down the hall. 'I'm just passing by. I'll see you.'
'Brother~!' Excitedly calling out to him, Yuuki sits up straighter, patting the cushion with a giggle. 'Over here! Come and sit beside Yuuki!'
'Since Yuuki said that...' He's already crossed the room to her.
You're so easy to understand.'
Despite the quietly exasperated, yet amused remark, the scene continues as Yuuki gently lifts the book up further in her mother's hands.
'Mother was just reading a book'
'I see. I'm sorry to disturb, then--'
'My, Yuuki!' Their mother suddenly interrupts, breaking into their conversation. 'Are you trying to monopolize your brother? Mother is lonely!' Not looking lonely at all, but pouting much more than someone her age should she scoots over a little and pats the seat beside her. 'Come, come,' She says with a grin. 'Sit between mother and Yuuki, Kaname~! That would be fine, right?'
'E-Eh?' With a look to his mother it quickly shifts to his sister as she scoots over, making room.
'Come quickly! Come quickly!' Obediently he moves and takes a seat between both Yuuki and his mother.
'Well then, can Kaname continue reading the story for us?'
Put on the spot, there's really no arguing.
'Ah... okay-' Giggling happily, Yuuki clings to his arm, shaking it up and down as he tries to hold the book steady between them.
'Ah, Yuuki, I won't be able to flip the page if you cling onto me like that,' he says patiently to her, their mother beginning to giggle before he turns a look up onto her too. 'Mother as well.'
