DAY 372 ▼ ACTION
A little thing like rain isn't going to stop Kara — or rather, Supergirl, clad in a makeshift costume — from soaring up into the sky and doing a few laps around the island to both in attempt to better understand this place and stretch her freshly (re)superpowered legs. And while she's getting something of a feel for her limitations, exploring the dome more thoroughly than she was able to yesterday is providing her with far more questions than it is answers.

She can be found throughout the day flying around various sectors — from stopping by the Athletic Complex to pick up a few barbells (effortlessly, and perhaps all at once), to roasting some of the Shooting Range's marshmallows with her heat vision, to stopping by the Sizzle & Sear to grab something to eat, and even taking the time to walk through the museum's pig exhibit.

"I will never look at bacon the same way again."

It's never a lesson learned easy. It always comes too late and too hard. Bruce is still haunted by the lives he couldn't save. His parents. Jason. You let your family die.

It's a tricky question. The honest answer is that he hates every moment of it, but he's not sure he's ready to be that honest yet with Kara.

"My boss figured it out," Kara says, smiling ruefully. "I couldn't throw her off. She just knew, and wouldn't let it go until I was standing right next to a Martian who had shapeshifted into Supergirl."

"Some people are smart like that. My butler is generally the only one who knows about me back home but a few other people have figured it out." Most people don't care enough about Bruce Wayne to ever look into his behavior which certainly helps.

"Sometimes reading glasses and a good slouch isn't enough to detour people. They see. As invisible as you might feel when you're not wearing a cape, some people still see what you're capable of. I guess I should find that touching, but..."

It complicates things. And Kat was so wrapped up in how much the city needed her that she was going to make her choose between her job and being Supergirl. Kara needed her job. Sure, she could've easily got herself put on the DEO's payroll, but that wasn't how this was supposed to work. She was supposed to be able to have a normal personal life beyond the call of super duty.

"That's why I wear a mask with my cape."

It's too risky if people know who who he is. They could get hurt. Sometimes the separation isn't enough. Jason got hurt anyway. Secret identities don't fix everything and being a superhero is always a complicated matter.

Then again, Bruce doesn't care much about having a normal person life.

"A mask suits you, though. Batman and The Flash, they're mask people. Me? Not so much. I mean, can you even picture my cousin wearing a mask?"

She can, and it's hilarious. Hilarious. The image in her head looks like he's trying too hard and/or poorly dressed for someone's Halloween party.

There's a moment of silence when she mentions Clark. The pang of guilt he feels at the mention of the other man is still acute. But if there's anything Bruce is good at it's not showing what he really feels. So while he's crying on the inside on the outside he's keeping the conversation fairly neutral.

"I suppose I can't."
