[Mal had been on his way to the stables the minute he made the call. So it's no trouble at all to saddle a horse and go. He's ready and waiting at the beach. Actually, he's letting Serenity run. Hard. It forces him to not think about the Kaylee Doppleganger who's come to prison.]

Hm... well... Zoe's my second in command. Fought with me in the war. Wash is our pilot, Zoe's husband. She hated him when she first met him. I've already mentioned Kaylee. Jayne's our muscle. Ain't too bright and will likely sell me out if anyone ever offers him something better, but he's damn good in a fight.

Inara...

[He pauses a moment. It's not usual for him to talk about her.]

She ain't really part of the crew. Rents a shuttle from me. We took on Simon, River, and the Shepherd as passengers, but they seem to be stayin for a while. Simon's a decent doctor, an' so long as he ain't preachin' at me, Book's been fairly helpful. But I won't let them know it.

[It's a long speech for Mal. But he finds he likes talking about them.]

	Any job we can take. Don't much matter what it is. Mostly try to keep under the radar of Alliance. [With the exception of Han Solo, Mal doesn't usually talk about the fact he smuggles.
