Closed to Aidan - Memory Garden
[Mal hadn't found time yet to get back to the gardens to finish his memorial for Inara. There was too much going on with all the new arrivals. And then he met that Han Solo guy which changed everything. Perhaps so as to not be outdone, or perhaps to keep himself sharp with another smuggler about, Mal woke today and didn't immediately go out in search for another bottle of whiskey.

Instead he took the time to wash up, brush his teeth, and put on some clean clothes. Not that he was planning on running into anyone today, but it was time to stop wallowing. He still had something left to finish on that account though.

In the Memorial Gardens, Mal kneeled in front of the bush he had sloppily planted. He dug the stones out from under it, and began stacking them. When he was finished, he sat back on his heels, assessing the entire memorial. Well. It was good enough.]

I think you'd be ashamed of me Inara. More'n you usually are. But it turns out, you bein' here? Best thing that ever happened to me. I ain't handling the drop from that so well.

Open Action - Sector 2: Athletic Complex and shooting range
[Mal's not going to go back to the alcohol. Not yet at least. Unless you manage to bribe him. So instead, he'll be busy beating up sandbags and shooting at targets to get all this aggression out.

[ As far as Aidan is concerned, it's about time to wash his hands of Mal. He's been trying and getting nothing but shit in return and eventually, you have to stop trying. He's really bad at that, stopping, but being here as long as he has and going through as much shit as he has back home, his patience is wearing thin.

Figuring that Mal wouldn't visit the gardens twice in this short period of a time, he heads back to check in on the plants, maybe pull some weeds and plant a few saplings from his own vegetable garden. Herbs, something nice-smelling, not for anyone in particular but perhaps for all of them.

Spotting Mal, he stops dead in his tracks. Contemplates just leaving before he's discovered because there's no way this is going to end well. ]

[Mal's still too hungover to actually notice Aidan. He keeps up his monologue.]

Ain't had anythin' to drink today though. Mighty big accomplishment if I do say so myself. An' I showered an put on a clean shirt. Thought you'd appreciate that.

Think I have to make things right with people though. Not quite sure how to even do that. Liable to hurt 'em again anyhow.
