[The lack of and sort of surprise from Soushi was as he could have expected. The response is just as well. There's no use going on and on about something that's already in the past, even though at home there have been times where the reality of things still got to him. He always does his best to make sure the younger Soushi doesn't see or hear him during those kinds of moments. He tries not to let anyone witness that kind of thing.
