I think the only example of adjusting too well would be being here, without any disruption whatsoever. And it's not so much adjusted as willing to entertain? Maybe? On a psychological level it'd make sense if those who had limited futures for example might not fight as hard subconsciously to escape. It's not that they don't want to, for themselves or others, but... Survival instinct?
