No one knows definitively. The wardens have used equipment malfunctions as an explanation for odd occurrences, but they happen often enough that I doubt this excuse. [He's really warming up to the topic, worry about being a nuisance all but gone.] I was in another prison before this one—different in some ways, similar enough in others to make it comparable—and nothing that happened there was unintentional on the part of our abductors. I think that the entities who created the wardens and Marina manipulate our environment purposefully. Testing, maybe, or keeping us here for entertainment.
