[Nico doesn’t spend a lot of time looking in mirrors. That might be obvious by the way his hair is usually an unbrushed mess. He only sparingly glares at himself when he brushes his teeth in the morning. This morning is an exception. The him looking back appears heavier – his cheeks are round, the bags under his eyes are gone. His skin isn’t sickly and green tinged and leached of its color like his father’s – like it become after the Labyrinth and Tartarus and the jar. It’s a healthy olive complexion, like it had been when he was small. Everything about him looks healthy. Even his hair, curling in every direction. When the fuck did this happen?!

He’s in a bit of a daze as he wonders out of the apartment to find breakfast and go to work at the store. He might also be caught walking boxes from Sector 2 to his store in Sector 3 (over and over again). He might like some help with that, actually …Occasionally he’ll stop to gape at his reflection in windows and mirrors. Just … what?]

[ He takes a moment, quietly sniffling. Things are tough and some days he remembers exactly what's waiting for him back home. In a way it'd be nicer to go back and get it done with, but he's scared. Always scared. Always running.

Eventually he draws a shaky, deep breath and peels himself away from Nico with one final squeeze of gratitude. ]

Alright. Let's deal with these boxes before you get boxed in.

Okay.

[He wishes he could do more, or knew just the right words to say. That there was some magical solution to make everything better. But if he had that kind of power, he wouldn't be where he is now, would he. He only knows what he would want if it were him in Aidan's place, so that's what he tries to offer. Presence. A distraction.

He doesn't let go of Aidan's hand as he makes for the boxes.]

I may have to step up my advertising. Or get a bigger store. But I want to avoid that.

	I wouldn't say that. I know how to make a poster, kinda. You type in what you want it to say an' then th' program got a bunch of pictures you can add. It's not too hard, if I can do it.
