[ Damon's watching Elena from afar. There's a lot that seems different about her. For one, she looks just a tad bit older. Like she's not that girl from Mystic Falls anymore. She's a grown woman. He knows about people turning up here from different points in time, so he's not too surprised about seeing her like this. It just means though that there's plenty that he's definitely missed out on.

When Damon had heard her voice on the communicator, he had considered making a reply via video, but decided to seek her out in person instead. It didn't take him long to find her; vampire speed and all that. He moves from his spot to get a little bit closer, and then he's standing just a few feet behind her. ]
