Seventeen years old and fresh out of 1959, Neil has no memory of Marina or the City or anything beyond the mundane world he's always known. Having found himself in this strange place, he'll be taking advantage of his circumstances to sight-see; what else is an adventurous teenager to do here? The explanations of where he is and how he ended up here are confusing at best, but the prison itself-- and oh God, how did he end up in prison!-- is more than enough to distract him from trying to understand it. It’s a distraction from his problems at home, too, which is decidedly for the best.
He’ll be visiting the Library, of course-- how could he resist?-- and he’ll wander through the museum, and you might find him wandering in and out of stores at random, or sitting briefly in the park with a cup of tea, staring up in wonder and disbelief at the dome above. There’s so much to see, he doesn’t want to waste a moment of his time here.
