[ He weaves with her through the crowd, working his way to the back of the room and the emergency exit door. It's heavy but he pushes it open easily enough, revealing not the back alley one might expect but a one-room apartment that's clearly not supposed to be in the same building. It's small but tidy, possibly cleaner than you'd expect from a guy his age. Fairy lights are pinned to the wall and draped across the sheet that's hung over the cheap but cosy bed.
The door closes behind them, effectively shutting out the noises from the bar. ]
