[ Another lovely morning in the underwater dome, another day of trying to keep the increased turmoil in his mind in check. The fact that he seems to be here already has him questioning his mental state more than enough, and to pair that with the breach of repression he didn't realize he had, the moments where that screaming - among other noises - pierces his otherwise controlled mind.
It's the extra bit of effort required to regain control that delays his rising from bed. Of course, he gets up early enough that it's still early by most people's standards - but so many of Rudy's habits mirror his own, that among them, that he expects to find him up already when he exits his bedroom.
But then he sees... not Rudy. And he freezes in place, staring. Is he spiraling deeper down into even more ravaged layers of his psyche? ]
