♕ |[ Day 266 ]| Video;
Hello, everyone!

[Behold, a wild Neil appears! Looking vaguely bemused, but all in all cheerful.]

It’s been ages since I had to introduce myself like this-- I’m out of practice. My name is Neil. I got here a few days ago, with my friend Todd. We came here from a place called the City, which was a little like this-- most of the people living there came from different worlds, or at least a lot of us did.

[He pauses, all too aware that this sounds a little nuts, but hey. It would've sounded crazier if they'd ended up in a proper self-contained universe, right?]

And things like yesterday-- with all those little furry things-- would happen every couple of days, too. Or other kinds of... Well, we called them curses, though I don't think you have anything exactly like it. But, I guess, we're used to strange things.

[And he smiles brightly.]

Anyway. I was speaking to the-- to one of the Wardens, yesterday morning, and she suggested I ought to get involved in some activities here.

[Because Neil wants his stuff back. His books, how is he supposed to get by without the few ones he packed?]

So I thought I'd introduce myself, and ask for some suggestions. Where should I start?

I suppose I'll have to, it's a shame for the theater to go to waste, [he muses.] Any thoughts on which?

I don't know.

[ Give him a moment here. ]

Not a tragedy.

Of course not.

Well, that narrows it down... a little.

Maybe you should go look in the library here for inspiration. [ By which he might actually mean "we." ]

[He'd better mean we, Neil is still not huge on that being out of sight of one another thing.]

I wonder if there are any plays from other universes that we could put on. That'd be interesting.

It's always good to expand your repertoire, right?

I guess. Can I help it if I really like Shakespeare?

Well, nobody's stopping you from doing Shakespeare.

Much Ado About Nothing, maybe. The main character came by once on Visitors' Day, remember? Handsome.

[ You're getting yourself laughed at again, Neil. ]

Well. He was all right, I suppose.

[ Ge grins there. ]

Sure. His eyebrows were a little heavy, though, don't you think?

I thought they suited his face very well.

[Not smiling, not at all, because he is SO OFFENDED.]

I don't think there's any call to be rude

[ Todd shrugs noncommittally, though he can't quite hide the impish smirk on his face. ]

I'm just being honest.

Well, hasn't that always been obvious?

[ Fine then. Todd settles down next to him. ]

You know, you seem awfully invested in Claudio.

He was a nice young man from an excellent play, what's wrong with that?

[Immediately leaning on Todd would make this whole obvious ploy a bit too obviously obvious, so he doesn't. Yet.]

Don't be ridiculous.

[You could generously call this an elbowing in the ribs, but it's really not, not sharp enough to be anything of the sort.]
