[ at some point, she'll run into the lone spartan here as kelly literally takes down a raptor with her own hands. being so fast she's almost a blur for normal humans helps immensely, but still sometimes some of these are a little too fast or too strong for her. usually it's the latter, as they have teeth and claws to use and she does not. even so, she's capable of taking them down and so that's what she's doing.
she's faster than normal humans, taller, and stronger by far, and she can virtually see in the dark, as proven by the fact that she rams her fist into the softest, most vulnerable part she can find. for any normal human, that move would have shattered bones on any normal human, but kelly doesn't even flinch. instead, she uses her momentum to snap its head back. she's fighting these things like she knows her way around a similar enemy. to her, they're just another pack of elites, though this time she has to be careful. this is like fighting with her first suit of armor, back when the human-covenant war was still new, or even before it, when she was fighting insurrectionists. she has to pick her battles wisely, and fight a little more defensively than she normally would. but she can still fight and fight she does.
that doesn't mean she's completely oblivious of anyone around her. out in the field with the covenant, that would get her killed. she's using her surroundings and the people she can find to her advantage and soon enough she might even be pushing this raptor back towards someone who can help her kill it. ]
