[ FBI agents aren't ones to sit at home and cower and soon as Reid has made sure that the people he cares about are safe and well, he makes a valiant effort to at least get himself to the Defence Force HQ where he can at least be of use. Armed with nothing but a flashlight and the reflexes of a life-long bully victim he braves the dark and the raptors, keeping close to the buildings so he can slip inside should the bloody reptiles come too close.

Of course, that won't help much if he finds himself in a fear zone... ]

[ So far, butterflies haven't been good things. The Fisher King comes to mind but even more so in even more morbid ways, it's Tyki's little Tease that fill his memory and that is why he's more scared than reassured by the appearance of the butterfly.

Not the same though. Not even close and so he forces himself down into apprehension, eyes carefully tracking the movement around him. ]

[It's just one at the moment. It lingers nearby, silently following along with him as he moves, and remains nearby when he pauses. Sounds in the distance arise though (raptors?)

As they grow the butterfly sticks closer. And then-- one butterfly suddenly turns to two. And two to three while others continue to gather and amass. Fluttering around him they gather just to his side between him and the direction the commotion is coming from.]

[Bonnie didn't like being out on her own in the dark with everything that was going on at the moment. She was afraid, wishing that she had stronger magic at the moment to protect herself; the most Bonnie could do was light a few candles.

[ It's far from the first time he's moving through dark streets with his heart in his throat. The raptors are new, though. Never had to deal with those before and right now he can't help but idly kick himself for ever laughing at Kitty when she first told him about them.

Her voice has him jumping slightly, grip on the flashlight tightening as he sweeps it over the surroundings. Raptors don't say hi, they just eat you. ]

[Considering the time she set out, it's way late into the night that she finally makes it to HQ. There were quite a few mishaps along the way, including the incident that lost her her headphones and communicator both in the pitch black darkness of the dome. Toothy bastard, she got at least one good kick to his head in before scrambling to safety and it's there that she stayed for a while to hash out a plan. Thankfully she ran into Saetan there who helped heal her cut up arm, just far enough into a state where it was mostly scabbing; better than nothing. The grazes on her forehead stopped bleeding by this point too, though she was really unaware of how it looked on her simply because she didn't feel it.

So when she finally made it to HQ it was with a blood streaked cheek and wrapped arm, speckled blood across her t-shirt and a cracked flash light that'd grown way too dim to be useful. Exhausted would be an understatement, the stop and go method of storefront hopping and waiting for easy runs got old real fast. Sucked extra heavy that she couldn't call for any help, but at least she snagged a bottle of wine and whiskey both. Can't really wait to crack it.

So uh, hey Reid. Sorry she's checking in ridiculously, ridiculously late.]

[ He's been keeping busy, first with even making it the short distance to the HQ and then with analysis, collecting data, taking statements... good thing too, because if he hadn't occupied himself as much as he did there's a good chance he would've gone out there again to look for her, no matter what Kitty told him.

They have teams out there. Someone was bound to get to her eventually and for the time being, he refused to think of any other possible outcome. Not yet.

Needless to say, by the time she actually makes it to headquarters he's a bit of a nervous wreck under the otherwise professional surface. There's an intake of air and a widening of eyes and then he's out of his chair, quickly striding across the floor to wrap her in a hug. No words. Not yet. ]
