[day 250] sector 0 action - open | video - private
[Tear's always been up before the announcements or artificial sun. Habit born from training first thing in the day, even before eating or other concerns... until recently. Lately, she's risen early not to practice but to observe the facility and its cogs come to life. In order to take notes, to continue planning. To leave.

She's up to do the same like the other mornings before, though it becomes apparent soon enough that's this morning isn't remotely like always. Being as clockwork as she is herself, she knows when something is definitely up, when no rising light gradually comes when it's about time to or no obnoxious-- and supposedly witty-- commentary from one or the other Warden that she only barely listens to anymore.

Even setting aside being a prison veteran, she feels neither panic nor worry over it, though-- yet. In fact, as terrible as it might be, she wonders if it's actually luck, after everything. The unresponsive sentinels along the way to the central sector, and the fact that no more make their way out to the streets, only raise her hopes, as does the darkened kiosk. She otherwise ignores it as she runs past to her goal: the charging facility. Its door and exterior remain as fortified as ever, but there are no longer any functioning guard to act as discouragement. All the better for her.

Casting a small orb of light, she raises it high to illuminate her immediate area with a soft glow; while hardly a piercing beacon, it's noticeable enough to possibly attract any nearby inmates-- or other things lurking in the dark. But even if that, and the flashes as she begins to pelt the building with a barrage of fireballs, happen to be obscured, the sounds from it all should certainly bear investigating]

[There's actually light in the video, but it's faint; nothing solidly bright like the beam of a flashlight, but it's enough to see the barred door of a large building-- the bot charging facility actually-- adorned with lovely scorch marks here and there, and an indistinguishable smear leading down to a lump that's equally unidentifiable in the insufficient lighting save for some arm or leg... some scaly, feathered appendage, before the view jerks away violently to the ground and then only darkness, though the feed hasn't died quite yet.

She hadn't taken the time to set her device back on properly after it gotten knocked askew by her attacker, and after blasting the raptor into the wall, simply contacting the people she needed to was the first priority in her mind. The little scuffle hadn't taken anything out of her, but the adrenaline left from it and the surprise remains high, leaving her sounding a bit out of breath when she finally can give her curt, no-questions message]

Stay inside.

[Her first barrage finishes with her barely feeling a drain, it being a low-level arte, and that's the plan. She's not stupid enough to throw all she has at it from the start. It's a construct, so theoretically it should eventually crack if she keeps hitting a fixed area with progressive force. She has to at least try.

The ever hovering orb admittedly doesn't really help those in the distance; it barely provides more than 2 meters even for her, who's just under it. But the glyphs that appear as she starts again, as if graven into the air itself, give off their own glow and add to it, briefly illuminating her figure in full detail: face set in focused purpose, long hair and skirts whipping about from the force of her casting. A larger ball of flame manifests this time, that she releases with a wordless yell and smashes against the building side with enough force to cause a small rumble]

[The flames are more than a surprise to her. She's seen people who were different, people like Callie, but she hadn't witnessed someone controlling fire or magic the way Tear seemed to be. When it hits the building she feels the shake of the ground beneath her feet from the force, making her duck down behind the bench again with a scream she couldn't hold in.]

Stop!
