[He didn't bother checking it out until sometime later in the day, and then that's when he instantly regretted it. It turns out Karev's quickly picking up on just how screwed up this place is real fast, and he's not enjoying it. He nearly freezes up when he sees the pictures, recognizing them on the closest board, staring for a second with his coffee in one hand before reaching to pull off the first one he sees.
Him, Aaron and Amber. All much younger, since he was the youngest and he looked barely ten. Scrawny and thin, still prepubescent for the most part but more than likely way underfed. He's got his arm around their necks and he's the only one not smiling in the picture, a tinge of protective seriousness on his features instead.
He'll then be going around searching for any others, finding a few (perhaps that you're looking at) and snatching them off the boards. One of him with Izzie, one of his twelfth birthday still wearing an obvious bruise on his jaw. His father was sober that weekend though, mother tried to make it up to him with a birthday party.
