[Jake has been bumming around the alphapartment, depressed and watching movies and trying both to isolate himself and to find solace in whatever company he could get. It's been a few days and Dirk still hates him, or so he's convinced himself, and he is very depressed that he's lost his best friend.

He's on the couch with a huge pile of movies on the floor next to it, watching somewhat blankly with an empty bowl of popcorn. He's never been so unenthusiastic about watching movies in his life.]

[ Dirk is getting pretty tired of moping.

He was a douche. He gets that. After weeks of isolating himself, he's kind of sick of that, and he figures he should maybe head home. Maybe he can pretend none of that ever happened. Jake and Roxy are probably fine by now, after all.

He pauses outside the door for a long while, steeling his nerves, then turns the knob and heads in. ]
