To be honest, he didn't remember me. He lost his memories. Someone...misguidedly stole them. It was to protect him, but... it was still wrong.
[Of course she's ashamed of her actions. To take something so precious away, even though she had thought it was what would most protect him, and allow him to move on without her.]
He realized, though, that... I knew who he was. He wanted to know the memories he had lost, but I hadn't known if it was a good idea to tell him.
