[ He could've ignored Tyki or said something neutral before slipping off, but he doesn't. This has gone on too long. He can't go around and be afraid all the time and Tyki has given him the impression that he's not completely invested in this animosity either. Add to that the fact that there's barely any Exorcists or BAU agents left and the need to strike up a truce quickly rise to the top of the priority list.
